Gloria Zein’s three part installation I Can’t Stop the Dancing Chicken was commissioned specially for the 50th anniversary and reopening of the Goethe-Institut London. The temporary installation consists of individual works of sculpture, miniatures and a mural, which together form a complex, comprehensive spatial installation addressing the identity of the building and the structure of the Institut. Zein’s exhibition is presented as part of the British Council’s International Architecture and Design Showcase (21 June - 23 September 2012); a global gathering of cultural projects investigating architecture and design from across the world. It is also part of the London Festival of Architecture.
