Jacob Hashimoto will build a new site-specific installation compromised of hundreds of small bamboo and paper kite elements for his first UK solo exhibition. The installation will investigate themes evidenced in his previous work as he continues to explore his fascination with the intersections of painting and sculpture, abstraction and landscape. Based in New York and of Japanese descent, Hashimoto has exhibited internationally and has completed large scale public installations at The University of Houston; Andaz, West Hollywood; MACRO, Rome; and Palazzo Fortuny, Venice.
