Showcase 2011 : Suzanna Raymond - Organised Chaos

University of Northampton student Suzanna Raymond will make Organised Chaos, a site specific installation comprising of found ‘junk' from the Milton Keynes area, which will also be featured in related photographs and painting. Her work questions how we respond to the reordering of our world through chaotic or uncontrolled events. Her apparently chaotic and ephemeral installation also questions the permanence and security of the gallery space, whilst still being bound by the fabric of the current building. The viewer is invited to consider how we respond to change versus our desire for visible stability and continuity in our everyday environments. Visitors are invited to bring a piece of household junk to add to the installation and become part of the exhibit by sitting down for a cup of tea.
