Hackney-based fashion photographer Marie-Fleur Charlesworth, creates a romantic and yet unsettled take of youth in its urban environment. Interested in the dialogue between the female model and the female gaze, the works intend to provoke an internal dialogue concerning issues of femininity and growing up. Remaining non-committal, the work leaves itself open to interpretation, and in a wistful way nods its head towards the miscellany and clutter that is nostalgia, conjured up by the grown up.
