If you’re looking for a Halloween costume like no other, join artist Jessica Hoad to design and make your very own monster head using upcycled materials in Mission Gallery’s new education space. The workshop will focus on the process of designing through to hands on making, monster heads can be taken home at the end of the session and used with an activity sheet provided to encourage play and story writing.

Morning | 8-12 yrs | 10am – 1pm Through drawing and looking at available materials, children will create designs of wearable monster heads that they will later go on to make and take home with an activity sheet which will encourage them to write a story about the monster they have made.

Afternoon | Age 5-7 yrs | 2pm – 4pm Junior Monsters can take part in the Halloween fun with Jessica in the afternoon and will be drawing monster body parts, including teeth, eyes and horns onto monster bodies. Taking ideas from these drawings, children will use an assortment of materials to decorate their very own wearable monster heads.

All materials provided
