Event detail
Join Simon this Halloween for a weird and wonderful evening of live music, interactive performances and Bloody Marys
Books may float off shelves and library card archives might explode. Inspired by the gallery’s history as a public library, Simon Raven promises an original painting as prize for the person (or persons) wearing the best 'literary ghost' costume.
Performance artist and sculptor Simon Raven invites you to an evening full of surprises to mark the culmination of his three month residency at Camden Arts Centre.
Raven specialises in improvised and interactive installations, films and performances. Previous work at Camden Arts Centre included an impromptu film shot on location with members of the audience, interactive automata installations, a day trip down the Regent’s Canal on the ‘Ship of Crips’ and a recent peephole installation for one viewer inspired by Marcel Duchamp's famous last work 'Etant Donnes’. His latest work for the Frieze VIP event involved turning his studio into an arctic environment, dominated by a massive iceberg!
Simon Raven is the winner of this year’s Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary programme, managed by Shape, which offers a disabled artist a three month residency at a high profile arts venue.
