This exhibition brings together 17 artists, that through accurate solutions seek to bring the audience to the core of their research thematic and artistic work.
About
Transcription curatorial project explores the potential of the geometry as a method to solve artistic procedures.
A balanced sequence that lies between the various artworks exhibited here is the incorporation of geometric components, which in some cases operate as a pragmatic logic to configure structural components and in others acts as an instinctive conjecture. Thus we find that the geometry serves this group of artists, as a bridge through which they find their personal creative sources of reference and intellectual constitution. It is important to note that some of the artworks exhibited in Transcription obey to a practical quandary, this action suggests a subtle dichotomy between the visual outcome and research purposes. In concrete terms, the artists have come to resolve their works through identifiable geometric patterns, but notions about their works examine other arguments; therefore they not intended to delve into systematic or mathematical geometry, they are neither aiming to get a specialized knowledge within the area of arithmetical facts and its derived approaches. Instead, they prefer to experiment with those precise theories as a flexible tool to elaborate pieces that can be playful and enlightenment.
Transcription exhibition brings together a group of works by actions such as replication, modulation, and repetition, exploring the possibilities offered by investigating the geometric as a distinct configuration display format. This selection of works belonging to 17 artists, that through accurate solutions seek to bring the audience to the core of their research thematic and artistic work.
