Hiatus showcases the work of four contemporary artists and photographers dealing with an ongoing exploration and analysis of stammering through the artistic medium. Sophie Jade Hambling, Shahram Saadat, Rory Sheridan and Errin Yesilkaya, of which two of the exhibitors are proud people who stammer, will present a range of multidisciplinary works in the Triangle Space at Chelsea College of Arts.

About the artists
Sophie Jade Hambling (1996) is a British artist living and working in London. Hambling’s work focuses on documenting the ordinary with a strong emphasis on repetition, form and colour. The appreciation of the mundane holds a strong presence within her practice alongside the relationship between man, space and object. (www.sophiejadehambling.com)
Initially a documentary photographer, Saadat’s work has shifted from the instant impact of the photograph to the concept behind it, resulting in a more fine-art approach. He is intrigued by the differences and similarities between reality and fiction and the subsequent role of the photographic image. (www.shahramsaadat.com)
Rory Sheridan is an English visual artist based in London. His work explores multiple subject matters including his personal responses to visual culture and the inadequacy of the photographic medium for example. His work takes many different forms, using a variety of artistic mediums including photography, moving image, sculpture, text, installation and sound. (www.rorysheridan.co.uk)
London based fashion and fine art photographer, Errin Yesilkaya’s practice explores the interesting and diverse link between our consumption of visual culture and advertising. His work often utilises various mediums, such as still photography, video, and sculpture. (www.errinyesilkaya.com)
