Exciting debut exhibition by 3rd year Central St Martins student ANDREA TYRIMOS

After exhibiting at the successful ‘Illumini’ exhibition, Andrea’s solo show brings together a diverse collection of paintings and photography concerned with the phenomena of artificial light and its unique relationship with the digital world.

The paintings hover between abstraction and realism, and it is this ambiguity that gives the work an essence of mystery. The exhibition explores and pays tribute to the beauty of this fascinating light, which has been largely overlooked within painting, as well as focusing on the distortions of the digital and lens-based images within which it appears.

Andrea’s paintings and photography can be seen as a reference to our modern twenty-four hour society, as well as pop and music culture.
