Contemporary Art Shows Since 1968

This major conference brings together world-renowned artists, critics, curators museum directors and scholars to identify and analyse the landmark exhibitions of the past 40 years. Going beyond the mere historical review, the speakers propose that the exhibition is central to our understanding of contemporary visual cultures and discuss the (in)visibility of exhibitions, the proliferation of biennials and the exhibition as archive.
