The Artist's Statement in this review:.
""Nature is a major source of inspiration to me and in recent work I have been attempting to demonstrate the vulnerability of living organisms and their susceptibility to external forces.
I work with porcelain paperclay and casting slip, applying these onto a nichrome wire form; I then raw glaze and fire the pieces in an electric kiln to cone 7. Oxides and silicon carbide are used in some of the slips, producing stark contrasts in texture and colour. In addition, the tension between the wire and the porcelain combine to produce a partial fragmentation and fragility of the forms.''LR
