Joie de Vivre! - The Art of Alexander Goudie
The first major retrospective exhibition of Paisley-born artist, Alexander Goudie (1933-2004); one of Scotland’s finest painters.
This exhibition showcases the extent of Goudie’s talents, including the colourful and vivid landscapes inspired by his visits to Brittany and his fascination with Robert Burns’ poem Tam O’Shanter, which Goudie re-created in a series of dramatic paintings.
This exhibition clearly demonstrates the vibrancy, passion and ‘joie de vivre’ of Goudie’s work.
