SHOW SCULPTURE 2008
The Royal College of Art's acclaimed Sculpture Show begins later than usual this year, in order that the new Sculpture School be ready for the exhibition. The RCA believes strongly in ‘pushing the envelope’ from within subject specialisms.
The students exhibiting this year have produced a wide range of work. From installations to bronze casting. Wall drawings to monolithic coloured totems. A giant fish tank to a giant plaster grotto. Kinetic magic to surreal confrontations. Film projections to ceramic heads. Eighteen artists about to launch themselves into the world of contemporary art. After the excitement of their College Show their work will begin to appear in galleries, art journals and the press – no doubt about it. Be there to catch those who will be making the headlines of tomorrow.
