176 is a site for artistic and curatorial experimentation, a place in which to experience the very best in emerging art and the vitality of the Zabludowicz Collection. Working with emerging artists and curators to produce innovative exhibitions - with both the building and the Collection as their starting point - 176 encourages the public and art specialists alike to actively engage with the Collection and exhibition programme.

176 is a converted Grade II listed 19th century Methodist chapel, run by Zabludowicz Art Projects, and is a unique and challenging space for exhibiting contemporary art. 176 also houses a resource room with publications related to artists held within the Collection and beyond; Lola's at 176, a café specialising in delicious cakes, tea and coffee; and a shop with specially commissioned limited edition publications and art works produced for every exhibition.

The programme at 176 will present three major site-specific exhibitions per year, covering all visual art forms, and is founded in research and practice residencies for one curator and one artist per year.

Drama Centre London, in association with The Vakhtangov Studio  London, presents the UK premiere of The Forty First, directed by Oleg Mirochnikov. The Forty-First tells the tragic story of two young people thrown together by the bloody Civil War which gave birth to Soviet Russia. Surviving against all odds and divided by seemingly irreconcilable political and social differences, they slowly begin to warm to one another, only to discover that ?although the heart defies all laws, one?s being after all determines one?s consciousness?.
London-based Russian director Oleg Mirochnikov leads a cast of three young actors and a team of international collaborators to stage this fascinating story using a theatrical language that is physically bold, visually rich, and thought provoking.
