Leicester City Council is re-developing The City Gallery into a new £2.4 million art gallery, scheduled to open in 2011.
The City Gallery on 90 Granby Street is now closed as part of the planned move to a new, purpose-built gallery space near New Walk Museum & Art Gallery at 50 New Walk.
The gallery team will be continuing to programme exhibitions and activities at New Walk Museum & Art Gallery throughout 2010, including our 22nd annual open exhibition.
Look out for The City Gallery shop at New Walk Museum & Art Gallery opening in March 2010 with our unique range of contemporary crafts.
The City Gallery will also be continuing our offsite programme taking in venues around Leicester including theatres and community centres, and to other galleries around the UK.
