Located on the Palace Square in the heart of the city and is the stunning glass cube of the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart since 2005, the attention. Inside the mansion, with a large collection area that extends underground in a former system of tunnels. On two floors selected highlights of the city's collection are housed here, which offers a variety of art appreciation and lively exchange. Smaller exhibitions within the collection deepen their aspects or contact counterpoints. The glass cube is the large special reserved. 
In addition to thematic or monographic special exhibitions, the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart shows twice a year in the "Frischzelle" young contemporary art. In the "Collector Series" also regularly private and public collectors are invited to present their works in an exhibition. 

The combination of past and present makes the tour of the collection to the extraordinary journey of discovery. The diversity of the works on display ranges from Swabian Impressionism in the 19th century on classical and modern art from 1945 to the current contemporary art.
