Being one of the leading galleries for contemporary art in Germany, Monika Sprueth and Philomene Magers recognise the value of being present in London and to have direct access to both their internationally renowned artists and their customers, considering London as the vivid centre of contemporary art in Europe.

Monika Sprueth and Philomene Magers are eager to contribute to the city's cultural and intellectual life. Seeing their gallery as a platform to present both established and young artist to the public, the space will also cater to cultural events such as open discussions, a practice which has been well implemented at Monika Sprueth Philomene Magers Projekte, their Munich space that has set its goal to present new artists to the public and to promote public discussions about contemporary art.

In Germany, Monika Sprueth and Philomene Magers hold a leading role in supporting artists of several generations which are highly recognised throughout the international art scene. Conceptual and minimal artists such as John Baldessari, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd and Richard Artschwager as well as artists that started their career in the 1970s and 1980s such as Peter Fischli & David Weiss, Andreas Gursky, Jenny Holzer, Karen Kilimnik, Barbara Kruger, Louise Lawler, Thomas Scheibitz and Rosemarie Trockel are working with the gallery. In the 1990s, they were joined by artists such as Thomas Demand and Sylvie Fleury. At present, Thea Djordjadze, Robert Elfgen and Zbigniew Rogalski are innovative young artists supported by the gallery which are rapidly gaining recognition at the international art market?
