Train: Trains run out of Liverpool Street Station, London, every 30mins to Colchester North Station. The studios are a short taxi ride from the station, or a twenty-five minute walk.
Part of a vibrant diverse artist run studio group, housing over 30 artists, Cuckoo Farm Studios has been in opporation since 1992, situated in converted farm buildings on the northern outskirts of the historical town of Colchester. We have strong links with Colchester School of Art and Design, firstsite, and Essex University.
The Benham Gallery plays host to wide range of exhibitions, workshops and residencies from; tenant, local, national and international artists. Exploring a variety of practices, currently being organised by International video artist and Cuckoo Farm tenant Tim Skinner.
The grounds are used to exhibit outdoor contemporary works mainly during the summer, plus annual Open Studios event in September.
