The Bluecoat Display Centre is delighted to present Down Town as an opportunity for visitors to see and buy quality contemporary craftwork made in and about Liverpool. We imagined the Grand Tourists of the 17th & 18th Centuries returning home with crates of art, and items otherwise unavailable to buy at home in remembrance of the cities which they'd visited. Down Town will feature selected local, and nationally based, artists who will be working in media including print, collage, textiles, ceramic, glass and metal to produce uniquely designed, handmade and exclusive souvenirs of the city. Down Town was specially curated to coincide with the International Festival for Business taking place in Liverpool this year. Exhibitors include: Ruth Ball, Libby Bower, Michael Badger, Helen Chatterton, Jane Coyle, Deborah Hopson Wolpe, David Rhys Jones, Moira Walton and Alison Wiffen.
