Artists on the Beach: Sir Quentin Blake at Jerwood Gallery
About
As part of the Jerwood Gallery's summer Jerwood Drawing Festival there will be an exclusive display of Sir Quentin Blakes' artistic responses to his favourite works from the Jerwood Collection. The exhibition of drawings will playfully explore the stories of artists in the collection from Sickert to Wallis.Accompanying the display will be a new gallery guide 'Artists on the Beach: A Jerwood Gallery Notebook', illustrated by Quentin Blake, which will be on sale in the gallery shop.
The exhibition is part of the summer Jerwood Drawing Festival, which also includes a special exhibition Drawn Together: Artist as Selector. There will be a number of special drawing events and workshops throughout the summer for both adults and children.
