An Eye for Fashion

‘An Eye for Fashion' is an exhibition of images carefully selected from the ‘Designers of British Fashion' collection of vintage Norman Parkinson photographic prints held by the Angela Williams Archive (AWA)., The complete ‘Designers of British Fashion' collection comprises some 250 original prints taken from the main Archive that specifically document the work of leading British fashion designers, ranging from those who formed the original Incorporated Society of London Fashion Designers (ISLFD), to the Fashion House of London in the late 1940s and 1950s, through to the new wave of designers that first took British fashion over to New York 1960s. The exhibition will present around 60 prints by Norman Parkinson taken between 1950 — 1964 with many of the images never previously seen.
