About
Strange Meeting is an exhibition of six painters, and takes its inspiration from the First World War poem of the same name by Wilfred Owen.
The exhibition obliquely references the concerns of the poem - the dreamlike encounter of two dead soldiers from opposing sides, and its meditation on art, idealism, cruelty, power and culture.
The gallery is open late on Thursday 3rd July for First Thursdays, and the first Haggerston Riviera art crawl, where visitors will be given a 'loyalty' card, and follow a trail of art exhibitions and open studios on the 'riviera'.
