About

Jack Morrocco was born in Edinburgh in 1953. Born into a richly artistic family. His Uncle the now famous Alberto Morrocco exposed him to working artists in their studios early on. Jack attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. At 20 he was one of twelve art students selected for a residency at Hospitalfield House in Arbroath. Here he met and was tutored by pop-artist Peter Blake, already well-known for designing The Beatles album cover Sergeant Pepper's in 1967. This meeting was to greatly influence Jack's approach to painting and inspired his studio still life painting.
