Join Moon Fool for two intensive workshops with leading physical theatre, voice and community practitioners, exploring personal creativity through ensemble practice and archetypes. Directed by Anna-Helena McLean (former principal of the world renonwed physical theatre company Gardzienice from Poland) and supported by members of the international ACT ensemble. They introduce the core ACT training and the company's latest work on STORM, premiering in the UK and touring internationally in 2015. The sessions encourage you to explore personal creativity. Participants will be introduced to basic acrobatics, playful vocal exercises, and original music from STORM. Breathe, rhythm and choral singing weaves the group together, awakening a sense of symbiosis through partner and gesture work. Directed through themes of man vs nature, we explore the Master and Servant archetypes from Shakespeare's The Tempest. Anna-Helena generates a safe, playful environment to take risks and develop personal awareness in ensemble performance. Suitable to all backgrounds and levels of experience.
