An alternative to fashion week: see the hands behind the seams. Does mass production forget the people? At this café event Zoë Svendsen and Simon Daw present a prototype of our World Factory shirt. Part research method, part art object, the shirt is an especially designed consumer item, manufactured for us by a Chinese factory, which through bespoke digital technology makes visible all the people and processes behind its making.
