Cell Project Space presents newly commissioned works by Adham Faramawy. Born in Dubai and now based in London the artist primarily works in digital video, with an expansion into print, painting, sculpture and computer programming.
Shortlisted for this years Dazed/ Converse Award Faramawy has been selected for The Bloomberg New Contemporaries, 2013 and Open Heart Surgery for The Moving Museum, London, 2013. Solo projects include Total Flex 2, Legion-tv.com, online video work with downloadable desktop program, 2012 and selected group exhibitions include Febreze, Henry Kinman, Eighty One, London, 2013, Diamond Dust- A shifting grammar of originality, Circa Projects, 2013, Abstract Cabinet, David Roberts Art Foundation, London, UK, 2013 and Flatness: Cinema After the Internet, Oberhausen Film Festival, DE, 2013, Chimera QTE, curated by Attilia Fattori Franchini, Cell Project Space, London, UK, 2012. Next year his work is included in Pre-pop to Post-human: Collage in the Digital Age, Hayward Touring, UK, 2014.
