Mark Tanner Sculpture Award

About

The Mark Tanner Sculpture Award is unique in its combination of offering both financial support towards the production of new work and a solo exhibition to an exceptional emerging sculptor. We seek to reward outstanding and innovative practice in the field of sculpture and are particularly interested in work that demonstrates a commitment to process and materials. There is no age limit, applicants will be judged on the quality of their work and the ability of the award to make beneficial impact on their practice and future development. The financial award to assist in the production of a new body of work is £8,000, made in 4 equal payments over the course of the year, at the end of which there will be a solo exhibition at Standpoint Gallery. The selection panel for the 2013/14 award is: Richard Deacon CBE, RA: Acclaimed British sculptor, winner of the Turner prize in 1987, Lisa Le Feuvre: Head of Sculpture Studies at the Henry Moore Institute Jemima Brown: Winner of the 2010/11 Mark Tanner Sculpture Award. Rebecca Scott: MTSA trustee Eligibility Applicants must be permanent residents of the UK. Due to current funding limits, we are only able to accept applications from artists based in Mainland UK this year. Students in current education are not eligible to apply. Application deadline is Monday 17 March 2013 at 5pm Please visit http://www.standpointlondon.co.uk/mtsa.html or send an A4 SSAE to MTSA 45 Coronet Street London N1 6HD
