About

Project Print @ The Print Market Project The Print Market Project will be offering a series of workshops demonstrations and open studios from Wednesday the 11th of April through to Sunday the 15th April when the project will coincide with Art Car Bootique 2012 at Chapter Arts Centre — where we will have a bootique space. Series of Events: Wednesday 11 April Solar Plates 10am — 4pm @ £65. Tutor: tbc This workshop will demonstrate the exciting possibility that solar prints can offer using only natural light on prepared plates you can achieve almost photographic print qualities. Plates and studio basics included. Thursday 12 April Basic Bookmaking and Mono-Prints. 10am — 4pm @ £65. Tutor: Lou Thornton This workshop will give you an insight into a range of mono-printing possibilities with demonstration of basic book formats to house prints created. Basic print materials included, paper available for purchase at the studio. Friday 13 April & Saturday 14 April Large Scale Woodcuts. Friday: 10am — 4pm. Saturday: 10am-12am @ £65 for both sessions- a bargain. Tutor : Pete Williams This workshop running on Friday and Saturday morning will allow you to work on a large-scale project using specialist tools and techniques. All cutting and preparation of woodcut to take place on Friday with final printing on Saturday morning. Basic print, woodblock and equipment included. Sunday 15 April Art Car Bootique at Chapter Arts Centre — In-conjunction with our Open studio & printmaking demonstrations at the Print Market Project. Stone Lithography — Sephaine Turnbill Acrylic Resist Etching & Mono-Printing — Vikki Hall & Carla Shepherd 11am- 6pm. Visit the PMP at the Bootique — we will be displaying our printed art goods and discussing all things print. Please come and visit our lovely workshop.
