The White Room Gallery proudly presents new paintings by Horace Panter of The Specials, Limited Edition Prints by Tom Lewis, limited edition lithographs by Henri Matisse and much more.

About

Horace Panter is best known as the bassist from The Specials, but art has also been a long-term passion for him; it was at art school in fact, that Panter met fellow founding band member Jerry Dammers. Panter's distinctive painting style combines traditional compositions with contemporary issues and pop-culture imagery. Tom Lewis creates beautiful and strange landscapes which he fills with even stranger characters and creatures; mysterious narratives unfold to create unique and captivating images. In recent years, a Japanese influence has pervaded Lewis' work to stunning effect. The White Room presents a selection of the artist's newest limited edition prints. Henri Matisse is regarded as one of the most significant artists of the Twentieth Century. The White Room presents a selection of limited edition lithographs from the artist's final print series 'Themes and Variations' which features portraits and still lifes each depicted in just a few perfectly judged, salient lines. Other works on display will include a selection of prints and photographs of Bath, printed canvases of graffiti artist Banksy, optical illusion 'lenticulars' by Julian Opie and open and limited edition prints by a wide selection of artists.
