GARY STEVENS’ PERFORMANCE LAB offers artists who have an interest in performance a chance to explore, find and develop ideas of their own through practical sessions. It is a way of escaping the notebook and of providing a practical, material process where ideas can be tested and modified. A vital part of the experience is the encounter with other members of the group, where everyone is involved in critical feedback.

The broad range of practices represented by the artists who are invited to speak about their work is a reflection of the non-partisan and broad context of the Lab that collides diverse practices and encourages different attitudes and approaches to work.

This month’s talk will be by the artist Jem Finer on Saturday 21 February, 3pm. The talk is open to all lab participants, and to the public.
