The pictures shown are her memories of her obscure life of alcoholism. 27 years of trying to escape the past, present and future. She is now 42 on the road to recovery and intends to stay here in order to continue with her drawings. Any tree seen in her pictures were her alcoholic friends 'acquaintances', who disappeared when she hit rock bottom. Her pictures are not copied in anyway but created by mind with a pencil and a pen, nothing else, no ruler, no compass, no stencil, completely freehand. L.Kelly lives in Oxford and has for the last sober 16 months.
