How do we define the Middle East?

About

How do we define the Middle East? How does the interpretation of modern and contemporary art from the Middle East impact on how it is understood at home and abroad? This two-day symposium - which takes place at Tate Britain on day one and Tate Modern on day two - brings together artists, curators and writers from across the globe to discuss recent developments in contemporary art from the Middle East. Speakers include Issa Tourna, David Elliott, Salah Hassan and Michael Rakowitz.
