HERES LOOKING AT YOU: the fine art of people watching 

This year?s Open invites artworks that consider people. The depiction of people by people has been eternal throughout all cultures. From the ancient primitive representations used in ritual and decoration through to recent western traditions of conversational and portrait painting, to contemporary documentary work.

The brief for this year?s exhibition encourages people to submit representations of people of Ipswich be they friends, family, or the famous. Applications will be accepted from artists and non-artists, young and old, insiders and outsiders. All media accepted. Submission by application only, details below.

-Artworks must be received between 13 and 17 January
-There is no age/status limitations for submission
-£5 fee per submission (max. 2 non-refundable)
