Seventy sculptures in silver

About

Pangolin London, the capital's largest and newest sculpture gallery, is proud to present Sterling Stuff II, the exhibition in which emerging and established contemporary sculptors are commissioned to work in sterling silver. Over 60 pieces of sculpture are available to purchase by artists including Angus Fairhurst, David Mach and Michael Joo. Highlights from Sterling Stuff II include sculptures from the 2002 show, which was supported by a number of renowned artists including Nicola Hicks and Damien Hirst, the latter of which was inspired to develop his work in silver further. Antony Gormley's piece Foetus is highly detailed, depicting an embryo at just 21 days old. Lynn Chadwick's trademark angular-headed figures are displayed alongside the sculpture Mother & Child by his son, Daniel Chadwick. Pangolin London is one of London's few galleries purely dedicated to exhibiting sculpture. Its close affiliation with Europe's largest foundry, Pangolin Editions, means that Pangolin London is in a unique position to offer expertise in sculpture and casting processes to both artists and clients. Pangolin London intends to push the boundaries of contemporary sculpture in its exhibitions by commissioning and sponsoring works that might never otherwise be realised.
