The UK premiere of Piazza di Spagna, a photo and video installation by contemporary Italian photographer Massimo Vitali and acclaimed British director Mike Figgis. Presented by agnès b. and produced by Vito Di Rosa. Together, Mike Figgis and Massimo Vitali have created a piece with an intriguing narrative, which explores the relationship between digital cinema and the static image. Filmed at the iconic Spanish Steps in Rome, the installation comprises four plasma screens with moving images by Mike Figgis, flanked by two large-format photographs by Massimo Vitali. Open daily 10.00-18.00, and to Film4 Summer Screen ticket holders until 20.30 FREE Saturday 2 August, 16.00 Piazza di Spagna - Mike Figgis in conversation with Walter Donoghue Terrace Rooms/Portico Rooms Mike Figgis, director of Leaving Las Vegas and Timecode, discusses his latest project, Piazza di Spagna, a collaboration with Italian photographer Massimo Vitali which explores the relationship between digital cinema and the static image. Piazza di Spagna is on show in the Terrace Rooms throughout Film4 Summer Screen.
