About

This exhibition focuses on the relationship between contemporary artists and poets. JMW Turner believed that poetry and painting flowed from the same font. The Royal Watercolour Society, in collaboration with the Poetry Society, explores this common bond. David Firmstone, Sonia Lawson, James Rushton, Liz Bulter and Quentin Blake are amongst the twenty painters taking part is this exhibtion, creating new and exciting work. Nationally important poets, including Polly Clarke, Kathleen Jamie and James Kirkup are working directly with painters.
