The exhibition runs from Friday 14th November 2014 - Sunday 11th January 2015. From November — March, Kunsthuis is open on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, 10.00 am — 4.00 pm. Exhibition location: Kunsthuis at Dutch house, Mill Green Farm, Crayke, York, North Yorkshire, YO61 4TT. 'My own Yorkshire': work by Yorkshire-based photographers John Potter and John Illingworth, celebrating the natural wonders of this county. This season we draw together work by two renowned Yorkshire landscape photographers. This is the perfect exhibition to attend as Autumn draws in and we look towards the Christmas period. 'My own Yorkshire' is the gallery's primary Autumn exhibition, forming part of a wider Christmas show, which extends to the Art Café. Find some lovely, original Christmas gifts for loved ones at the gallery this Autumn. These photographs truly celebrate nature and its capacity to move us and enliven our spirits. We invite you to revel in the beautiful landscape that surrounds Kunsthuis and to take part in our photography competition. Our favourite image of Crayke and the surrounding area will entitle the winner to a 3-hour photography tuition session with John Potter at Dutch house (a date in Spring to be agreed with the prize winner). The runner up will win a signed copy of a John Potter photography book! The competition is open now. The exhibition comprises of a rich selection of work by John Potter, featuring the Yorkshire landscapes of Crayke, the Howardian Hills, Sutton Bank, Yearsley and Roseberry Topping, while John Illingworth presents stark and glowing glimpses of the Yorkshire coast. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore Crayke's stunning scenery along with our latest exhibition. For those who love walking, there is a circular walk that runs through Dutch house and into fields and woodland, along with lengthier walks in close proximity to the site. Crayke itself is a beautiful village with a rich history — very photographable!
