The UK's leading artist-led fair

About

The Other Art Fair, the UK's leading artist-led fair, has today announced that this year's special guest is renowned contemporary artist Polly Morgan. Returning to the Old Truman Brewery during Frieze Week, The Other Art Fair is set to be a major satellite event of this exciting period in London's art calendar. Leading the taxidermy revival, Polly Morgan will be selling limited edition prints of snake sculptures. Her hand coloured gravure prints feature different species of snakes resting on plinths formed from marble and slate. Morgan's work is sought after by a host of important collectors including Damien Hirst and Anita Zabludowicz. In addition, critically acclaimed non zero one will be conducting an immersive theatre piece called TAOC, a mysterious interactive performance which will involve two room keys and two rooms. The performance will remain a closely guarded secret until the fair opens. non zero one have previously shown at Edinburgh Festival and will also be performing at the Barbican later in the year. Visitors to the fair will be able to enjoy further artwork from exciting international artists alongside a programme of lectures, workshops and live music. In addition, Hackney Wick's canal-side craft brewery, Crate Brewery, will be serving up its tasty range of beers and other tipples. The participating artists in The Other Art Fair have been selected by a panel of industry experts including: Anita Zabludowicz, Founding Director of the Zabludowicz Collection, Omar Kholeif, Curator at Whitechapel Gallery and Sophie O'Brien, Senior Curator at the Serpentine Gallery. The support and participation of these leading figures within the international art scene is testament to the growing importance and authority of The Other Art Fair within the UK's creative landscape. The fair's uniquely democratic and inclusive ethos has rightly won it a niche as one of the capital's favourite art events; since 2011 it has become the go-to venue to discover the next great artist for both first-time buyers and established collectors. A record number of artist applications this year means that there will be 25% more exhibitors and an even greater selection of work to view in October 2014.
