Sutherland's work deals with the physicality of paint as a material, and the applications it can be used for in creating a certain sensed space. Fluidity, rigidity, and solitude are all key elements within the work, along with explorations into tensions created by generating juxtapositions within the boundaries of the surface. Graduated from the University for the Creative Arts with in a BA in Fine Art in 2011. Currently lives and works in London.
