Nature and Self - Collection of Works by Seemab Tariq
Pakistani artist Seemab Tariq's first major exhibition in the UK is presented by Ayyari Gallery, London's newest online art gallery featuring contemporary Pakistani artists.
Karachi based Seemab has achieved a vividly imaginative collection of contemporary abstract paintings drawing on the his personal self- examination and relationship with the wider universe.
The influence of Sermab's classic calligraphy training is evident, and is presented as never before. Strong calligraphic lines are graffiti-esque and lead you into riots of colour, taking you on a journey into the world that Seemab has created. The rustic and distressed canvases add a deeper dimensions and give a real sense of time passed.
"Born out of Karachi's vibrant and cosmopolitan art scene, Seemab's work sits very comfortably on the international art scene. It is a real visual and spiritual feast for the eyes and imagination and is the perfect collection to feature at Ayyari's launch exhibition". Says curator and Ayyari founder Fara Jabeen.
All of the works on display are available to view at http://www.ayyari.co.uk/
