About
Created from more than 5000 photographs of the artist's home taken over a three year period, The Lightstain Series probes the complex and elusive concepts that surround person and place, to explore what is really at stake in the space we occupy.
The imagery is as profoundly affecting and unsettling as it is thought-provoking and beautiful. In the world of The Lightstain Series, light is dark and dark becomes light. Images function as transforming mechanisms for the known and unknown.
Images of lived-in rooms reside in the gallery as sites and sights of encounter where presence and absence, and memory and imagination collide to create new forms for the viewer to inhabit.
