Each summer the Gallery at Plymouth College of Art hosts a group of alumni graduates, who take over the space, turning it into an active studio space. The alumni are selected through an annual open call process and are offered the opportunity of dedicated studio space and critical input into their work (through a series of studio visits led by arts professionals and lecturers).
This summer, four artists and designers will be situated in the gallery developing and testing out
new ideas, working alongside each other and producing an informal presentation of their work at the end of the studio period. The gallery remains open to the public throughout the studio period and visitors are welcome to meet and chat with the artists and view their work as it progresses.
