Matt Moser-Clark: Letters To Maurice

About

Matt Moser-Clark: Letters To Maurice Foundation & Trust Gallery Tuesday 15 July 2014 - Saturday 19 July 2014 This July, Foundation & Trust Gallery will present Letters To Maurice, a new exhibition by artist Matt Moser-Clark. The show will be largely a drawing show and all the work will have been made specifically for the gallery. The artist imagines the drawings as a series of letters to a friend, episodes or albums one may say. Each talk to one another and to themselves about relationships, motion, scale, balance and of the time taken to make them. There will be a chair in the upstairs gallery. It is the chair Moser-Clark has used in the making of each drawing, where he has sat to talk to each one and to ask it why it is how it is? The audience will not be invited to sit, nor will they be discouraged, it is just a chair and should be treated like all chairs. In the library there will be an open letter, written to Maurice but for all to read. In that letter the artist talks to the viewer about themes in the drawing and about what led him to these conclusions.à‚  For further information please contact Harriet Foyster (Gallery Manager) Tel: 020 7538 3196 07983967116 Email: foundationandtrustgallery@gmail.com Free admission | By appointment only | Tuesday 15 July 2014 - Saturday 19 July 2014 Private View: Thursday 17 July 2014 6pm - 8pm Foundation & Trust Gallery, 2 Balfron Tower, St Leonard's Road, London, E14 0QT Opening hours: Tuesday — Saturday 10am — 4pm.
