Zavier Ellis 'Type 1 Zealotry'

About

he end is nigh and the apocalypse is upon us... ...and the Cock ‘n' Bull Gallery is the only safe(ish) place left in London! Director of CHARLIE SMITH LONDON and co-founder of THE FUTURE CAN WAIT, Zavier Ellis has produced a body of work which explores urban living and the secret language of the street. Fascinated by graffiti and signs, Ellis looks at street markings which often only reveal their meaning to the informed and initiated. For this exhibition, Ellis has produced a monumental 2 x 3 meter painting, along with a suite of pencil drawings and collages. The work shows a serious contribution to our analysis of urban living whilst at the same time it is often replete with ironic humor; perfectly in step with Cock ‘n' Bull Gallery's ethos and spirit.
