About

Eleanor Shipman, Yemi Awosile, Amy Pennington, Zoe Burt and students from Westbridge, St George's, Christ Church CE and Griffin primary schools. Following on from the success of last years exhibition, Thomas' School Foundation and Pump House Gallery are pleased to be present Making Places: an art exhibition and competition at the Pump House Gallery. This year's exhibition investigates how humans have transformed raw materials into shelters and into the world in which we live in now. From caves to primary building blocks of housing and shelter, the exhibition scopes modern cities to the very first human structures and explores how humans have used materials around them to construct our cities. Since April, pupils from Westbridge, St George's, Christ Church CE and Griffins primary school in Battersea have been working with four artist to create the exhibition Making Place, with artwork ranging from illustration, textiles, sculpture and photography.
