Alaniz-Tomas Duo perform in Cheshire!

Shackleford Pianos celebrates summer with an inspiring recital performed by the Alaniz-Tomas Duet.

Renowned instrumentalists Teresita Alaniz and Gustavo Tomas form the Alaniz-Tomas Duo. The duet has performed in outstanding venues in Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Barcelona also including the established Elborg Hall in Reykjavik and are coming to Cheshire for a summer performance.

Having earned a National Professor of Music, Gustavo Tomas specialises in baritone singing and clarinet, and is noted for performances in Argentina, Brazil, Spain and Iceland. Besides teaching, he has led numerous seminars on Music Interpretation and is also a working member of the European Association of Piano Technicians and Tuners.

Teresita Alaniz is an internationally recognized pianist and piano teacher. She performs solo around the globe and also showcases alongside symphonic orchestra. Not only does Teresita thrive in performance but she has also led numerous international seminars, recorded for radio and T.V.
broadcastings in Argentina, the USA and Poland and was a professor at The Toronto Faculty of Music and the University of Buenos Aires. She has earned a Psychology Honours Diploma and a B.Sc., as well as a Professor of Argentine Folklore Dances and Esperanto language and culture.

The exciting programme will include performances of the complete version of the 'Symphonic Études' by Robert Schumann, the Sonata for clarinet and piano by Argentine composer Carlos Guastavino and songs by the latter and Astor Piazzolla.

The performance will take place at 3PM on 8th June at Shackleford Pianos. Tickets are £12 including a complimentary glass of bubbly or juice.
