Rostra Gallery kicks off the May Day celebrations with an exclusive solo exhibition by internationally renowned artist Dan Baldwin. Baldwin's style is instantly recognisable, strong motifs and symbolism dominate his work and they are used to create unique, exciting multi-layered work. This impressive technique and conceptual brilliance has positioned him at the forefront of the new Young British Artist movement. A collection of his limited edition silkscreen prints will be on display, each piece is beautifully finished with various glazes, diamond dust and 3D collage. His work represents love, life, innocence and death often reflecting his preoccupation with the questions that surround human existence. This vibrant dynamic work recently caught the attention of singer songwriter Paulo Nutini who used the bold energetic print ‘Cyclone' as the cover art for his new single ‘Scream' released earlier this year.
