About

These black and white posters are a series of photographs of the old 19th century sandstone walls along the Embankment that have been eroded by age and acid rain. The walls are pitted with tiny holes, wall sores, which in shooting close up, become a secret, unearthly world of beautiful images resembling the craters of the moon. The side window shows a process where these eroded bodies were copied as frottage onto paper and then made into Rayographs, which enabled me to incorporate my drawing into photography. Libby Shearon graduated in BA(Fine Arts) and MA(Fine Arts) from the University of the Arts, Central St Martins. She is one of the artists in 400 Women, a permanent collection, which has been exhibited at Shoreditch Town Hall, Edinburgh Arts Festival and Amsterdam. Libby's art has been featured throughout London and she regularly shows her work for Artwave in Sussex. Private collectors have commissioned paintings in London, France, Germany and the USA.
