In the dark places

About

In the dark places is an exhibition about mystery within daily life and the boundaries of what is important and what is not. It plays with geometry and intuition along with the viewer's perception and experience. The paintings and works on paper reveal different spaces and situations related to the world of art; from the work in the studio to some details of collections hanging on walls, all of them diving in the dark as a fascinating metaphor of the world itself. Fernando Martà n Godoy (Zaragoza, Spain, 1975) has recently moved to London after a solid career in the Spanish visual arts scene and works in Studio 15 at ASC building in Bow. His work has been featured in ARCO, CentroCentro, MACUF and Cajamadrid in Spain as well as White Box in New York City and Fondation Suisse in Paris. Setting up a constant research around synthesis, his unique visual language draws on a wide range of sources from constructivism to baroque painting. Open Tue-Sat, 2-7 pm or by appointment: 07472374777 fmartingodoy@yahoo.es
