About

The Proud Archivist proudly presents a selection of new works by Pinky Tesfay. Using drawings and responding to the architecture of the gallery space, Tesfay explores notions of subliminal landscape and language. Employing a visual tone developed over a number of years, the artist creates familiar colour combinations and shapes. These totemic devises help map out distant and submerged memories. The title 'Explorations in Reverie' illustrates the idea of mapping the unconscious, adding form and solidity from the ether. Pinky Tesfay has exhibited both nationally and internationally and has work in permanentcollections around the globe. Most recently, Tesfay was included in 'Late at Tate — Codes and Subculture' at Tate Britain, and has been included in a variety of publications including Art Monthly. Private View Thursday 1st May, 18.30-21.00 Please RSVP. Artists / Speakers: Pinky Tesfay
